Snow Patrol are to become the first band to release an interactive album application for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
The feature, available as a download, will provide fans with access to behind-the-scenes images and artwork for 'A Hundred Million Suns', which is out next month.
Fans will also be able to read song lyrics on their touch screen devices.
Liz Goodwin, project manager for the group's record label, Polydor, told MusicWeek that the application would be a “must-have”.
The number of third party applications available for both devices has continued to grow since Apple unveiled its Application Store in July.
The tracklisting for the album is as follows:
'If There’s a Rocket Tie Me To It'
'Crack The Shutters Open'
'Take Back The City'
'Lifeboats'
'The Golden Floor'
'Please Just Take These Photos From my Hands'
'Set Down Your Glass'
'The Planets Bend Between Us'
'Engines'
'Disaster Button'
'The Lightning Strike'
