Babyshambles' Pete Doherty Banned From Staging House Party

Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty has apparently been banned from staging a gig at his house in Wiltshire.

Doherty and the rest of Babyshambles had hoped to stage the gig after they were banned from performing at a festival in the county.

But Earl of Cardigan, who owns the property, has told police that any gig would violate the singer's tenancy agreement, reports the Sun.

"That house is the property of the trustees of Savernake Estate and any such thing would certainly constitute a breach of his lease of our property,” he wrote in an email.

"So, should Doherty's manager ever plan to carry out his threat, please be advised in advance that there are absolutely no circumstances in which the owners of that house where Doherty lives would ever sanction such a thing."

Babyshambles were banned from performing at Moonfest earlier this month after police successfully won a court ruling saying the band “incite violence”.

The festival was later cancelled altogether.
