US rapper DMX has pleaded guilty to drugs charges in a court in Florida.
The rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested in June trying to buy cocaine and cannabis from an undercover police officer disguised as a drug dealer.
He was sentenced to time served by a judge yesterday (August 28th).
Simmons was originally released on bail over the incident but was arrested two weeks ago after he failed to appear in court in Phoenix.
Bradford Cohen, Simmons' lawyer, said the rapper had got “shafted”, claiming that the evidence in the drugs operation was flawed.
Simmons currently faces a number of outstanding legal cases, which are the result of a multitude of arrests over the last eight months.
