The new ticketing system allows registered applicants to buy a full weekend ticket for the festival – priced at £175 – or reserve one for £50.
People will also have the option of buying up to six tickets for registered friends in one transaction.
Explaining the new system, organiser Michael Eavis said: ”We have come up with a scheme that will allow people a much longer period to plan and pay for their tickets, while still continuing the battle against ticket touting.
“At the same time the very successful registration scheme will ensure that tickets will only go to those named individuals who have reserved them in advance.”
Fans who haven't already registered will be able to do so online or via post when the system re-opens on September 1st.
Next years Glastonbury festival will take place from June 26th-June 28th.
