George Michael told fans in London last night (August 24th) that he plans to release a Christmas single later this year.
The singer, who was performing the first of two final concerts at Earls Court, said the song would be available from Christmas Day.
It will accompany a cover of Nina Simone’s ‘Feeling Good’, which he recorded for a US TV show earlier this year, Michael told fans.
The former Wham! Star made the revelation as he played the first of two shows in London, which have been dubbed the “final two”.
As expected, Michael treated his fans to a setlist which featured songs from his entire, including ‘Fast Love’, ‘Faith’ and ‘Amazing’.
Speaking earlier this year, Michael said he was ending his touring career because he wanted a quieter life.
His final London date today will be followed by a show in Copenhagen later this week, dubbed the “final one”.
