Madonna will begin her 27-date world tour at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff later this evening (August 23rd).
The highly anticipated Sticky & Sweet jaunt, which includes a show at London’s Wembley Stadium next month, supports the pop stars latest album ‘Hard Candy’.
It’s the first time Madonna has toured so extensively since 2006'a Confessions tour, which became the highest grossing ever for a female artist.
The tour will feature four sections: 'Pimp', 'Old School', 'Gypsy' and 'Rave'.
Each section will take in a different era, beginning with a mashed up homage to 1920's deco and modern day gangsta pimp.
The show itself will feature 16 dancers, a 12 piece band, more than 8 costume changes for Madonna and £1 million worth of Swarovski crystals.
36 Different Designers have contributed to the onstage wardrobe, while 30 Wardrobe Trunks will travel to each venue.
Madonna has only played a selection of one-off dates so far in 2008. You can see highlights from those shows below.
