US rapper 50 Cent has denied delaying an investigation into a suspected arson attack on a property he owned in New York.
“50 and his attorneys met yesterday with Suffolk County authorities regarding the fire that destroyed 50's house," a lawyer for the rapper said yesterday (August 21st).
Reports had claimed that 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, had refused to meet detectives leading the investigation into May's fire.
The property in Long Island was inhabited at the time by Jackson's former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins and his 11-year-old son, Marquis.
She has claimed that the rapper was involved in the fire, which Jackson has denied.
His lawyers added yesterday that he "is eager to review the findings of the investigation, when it is concluded."
