Gary Glitter has been flown back to Thailand after officials in Hong Kong refused to allow him to stay.
The disgraced pop star travelled to the Chinese territory from Bangkok yesterday afternoon.
He had earlier claimed he was suffering from a heart attack and told officials he wanted to travel to another Asian country.
Before he left for Hong Kong, Thai police had threatened to deport Glitter back the the UK “unconditionally”.
A total of nineteen countries are understood to have already refused to take the singer.
Glitter was originally deported from Vietnam on Tuesday after serving nearly three years behind bars for child molestation.
He was jailed in March 2006 for molesting two girls aged eleven and twelve. His sentence was reduced by Vietnamese authorities last year.
If Glitter does return to the UK he will undergo immediate police questioning and be forced to sign the sex offenders register.
Previous reports have claimed that Glitter plans to revive his music career following his release.
