Paramore, Slipknot and other high profile rock acts have been announced as nominees in the ‘Best Rock Video’ category at the 2008 MTV VMA’s.

The nominees are as follows:

Paramore – ‘Crushcrushcrush’
Slipknot – ‘Psychosocial’
Linkin Park – ‘Shadown Of The Day’
Foo Fighters – ‘The Pretender’
Fall Out Boy – ‘Beat It’

The MTV VMA’s will air live on MTV September 7 from Los Angeles’ Paramount Pictures Studios.
