Amy Winehouse is the celebrity who British people have the most nightmares about, according to a new survey.
The singer and Marilyn Manson, who came second in the poll, are the cause of more restless nights of sleep than a host of politicians, including Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
Despite fears of an economic recession, celebrities featured prominently in the surveys top-10, which asked 3,500 to name the person that featured most in their nightmares.
"A nightmare is much more intense than a bad dream, it can arouse feelings of fear, horror and distress,” Leigh McCarron of Travelodge said about the findings.
“It replicates our deepest fears and can reflect the different types of stresses we face in our waking world.”
A number of people questioned said celebrities like Pete Doherty, Jodie Marsh and The Cheeky Girls often caused them to wake up sweating, have a panic attack, cry, shake or scream.
