US democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama has apparently asked soul singer Joss Stone to write the official song for his election campaign.
Mr Obama approached the singer because he is impressed by her appeal to both white and black voters, it's claimed.
Until now, Mr Obama's campaign speeches have been accompanied by previously released tracks.
Speaking to the Sun newspaper, a source said Stone was “very excited” to be recording to song because she “is a big supporter of Barack Obama”.
“She believes he is going to be the first black American president and she is honoured to be a part of that,” they added.
Stone, who has previously fronted a campaign for chocolate bars, joins a host of musicians who have voiced their support for Mr Obama's bid to become president.
