Lily Allen has pushed back the release of her new album until early 2009 because of the success of American Katy Perry, it's been reported.
Allen's second album 'Stuck On The Naughty Step' had been due before the end of 2008 but label bosses are understood to be concerned about Perry's current popularity.
The singer, who releases her debut album next month, went straight in at number one on the UK singles chart yesterday with 'I Kissed A Girl'.
The track, which has divided many because of its lyrics, topped the chart on download sales alone.
Allen has already given fans a taste of what to expect from the album via a number of demos posted on her Myspace page.
Speaking about the most recent addition, 'Who'd Of Known', she said it wouldn't make the record because its chorus resembles a Take That song.
