US rapper Jay-Z has spoken about his decision to keep details of his apparent marriage to Beyonce Knowles private.
In an interview with Vibe Magazine, the rapper, who has still yet to confirm reports that he married Knowles in New York earlier this year, said it was “part of your life you gotta keep secret.”
"You have to have something sacred to you and the people around you,” he added.
Jay-Z's comments come amid reports that the couple have fallen out over the possibility of having children.
Entertainment website, MediaTakeout, claims that Knowles has told the rapper that she doesn't want children for at least two years.
“Her career is moving at 90 miles per hour and she's not trying to have it slowed down by a baby,” a source told the website.
