Velvet Revolver bassist Duff McKagan has denied that Spacehog frontman Royston Langdon will be unveiled as their new singer, despite his recent performance with the group.
“At this point I'd have to say no," McKagan replied, when asked about the possibility of Langdon being employed full time.
Velvet Revolver have been without a frontman since Scott Weiland left the group acrimoniously earlier this year following the conclusion of their European tour.
Although reports have linked the band to a reality TV search for Weiland's replacement, McKagan said the delay had been caused because they “have to make sure it's the right guy.”
He told Billboard that the band were "just seeing how it feels” with various singers, adding: "We wouldn't know how to do an audition.
"We wouldn't have somebody come in and go, 'Okay, play 'Slither'. Play 'Fall To Pieces'.”
Weliand has since gone on the reunite with his original band Stone Temple Pilots.
