Wolfmother have issued a statement confirming their rumoured split.
On behalf of the band, Universal Music Australia announced that both bassist Chris Ross and later drummer Myles Heskett left the outfit “due to irreconcilable personal and musical differences”.
The statement read: “Andrew Stockdale, Myles Heskett and Chris Ross will make no public statements at this time except to say that they are each really looking forward to making their new music over the years ahead.”
The band also made a plea to Wolfmother fans to understand the situation.
Andrew Stockdale stays put as the remaining member of Wolfmother, seeking new band members for future work.
Wolfmother have not released an album since their self-titled 2005 debut.
