Justin Hawkins played his first gig under new band Hot Leg in London last night.
Playing at the Proud Galleries venue in Camden, Hawkins was equally as flamboyant as he used to be when playing with the Darkness – performing stage tricks and sporting pink fingernails.
Still keeping The Darkness as part of the family, the set was closed with a “cover” of sorts of his former band’s biggest hit, ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love.’

Speaking to the BBC about the first “proper music concert” he’s done in a couple of years, Hawkins described his fear by saying, “I think in the time since then I've suffered what you might call a breakdown."
The Hot Leg tour will continue with sold-out dates in Manchester, Glasgow and tonight’s bash at Birmingham’s Barfly.
You can purchase tickets for the tour through Gigwise here. Alternatively, call our ticket hotline on 0871 230 1098 for more details.
