A spoof election video for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in which he appears to kiss Britney Spears has emerged online.
The video fuses clips from an old interview with Spears with outakes from Mr McCain's campaign so that it plays like one continuous piece of footage.
Towards the end of the video, Spears says: “I don't go home and have orgies or anything like that,” to which a clip with Mr McCain then goes: “Everybody That I Know Does”.
The video also features a still image of the notorious kiss Spears shared with Madonna at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003 – only a photo Mr McCain appears instead of Madonna.
The publication of the fake video, which has been created by Barely Political, comes just days after an official Mr McCain campaign advert suggested that his rival, Democrat Barack Obama, was a bigger celebrity than Spears and Paris Hilton.
In response, Mr Obama said it was another example of the Republican's use of negative campaigning.
