Laughing Paul McCartney And John Lennon Recording Set For Auction

A recording of John Lennon and Sir Paul McCartney sharing jokes with each other is set to go under the hammer.

The candid clip is expected to raised upwards of £12,000 when it is auctioned next Tuesday at the Cameo auction house.

The 30-minute tape is believed to have been recorded in 1964 and features a studio version of the band's hit 'I'll Follow The Sun'.

During the recording of the song, Lennon says to McCartney: "I'm not looking at you," which prompts McCartney to tell him he was.

Lennon then tells McCartney that “it's just going to get funnier and funnier as the evening goes on,” to which McCartney replies: "Let's just try this once more and if it's the last one that's hard lines."

The tape was discovered by a man in the North of England who does not wish to be named.
