Damon Albarn, former Blur frontman, has confirmed that he will release a new album with Jamie Hewlett, the visual artist he teamed up with for Gorillaz.
The duo's new album, entitled 'Journey To The West', will be released under their Monkey pseudonym.
The album contains songs from their opera, Monkey: Journey To The West', which is due to open at London's Royal Opera House this week.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Hewlett revealed recently that Albarn moved on to other projects away from Blur because he had grown “tired" of being the band's frontman.
