Ronnie Wood's plans to appear in a new book by The Mighty Boosh have been shelved because of his admittance to rehab, it's been claimed.
Wood was said to be working with Noel Fielding, one of the stars of the TV comedy show, on a story for the project, which is due to be released this Autumn.
The pair's collaboration, an adaptation of the classic children’s story Where The Wild Things Are, painted Wood as central character of the plot, and followed him on his journey to a fantasy land.
“Ronnie and Noel had been motoring along quite happily. They’ve come up with some fantastic illustrations and the project was well on course to being a major part of the book,” a source told the Sun newspaper.
“But, with Ronnie back on the booze and shacked up out of the country, he is uncontactable and deadlines are looming.
“Noel’s been pulling his hair out as he really wants to finish their work together, but he admits it’s looking likely they’ll have to shelve that section of the book.”
Wood was admitted to rehab last week amid tabloid reports that he had begun a relationship with a Russian model.
According to his spokeswoman, the guitarist is “seeking help” in his battle with alcohol.
