Paul McCartney Gets Police Escort To Billy Joel Concert

Paul McCartney was hauled from JFK Airport in New York to Shea Stadium in 15 minutes with the help of a police escort to surprise Billy Joel.

McCartney’s plane arrived shortly after 11PM where he was greeted by the New York Police Department.  Making the 11 mile route in approximately 15 minutes, the singer appeared on stage with Joel by 11:20.

Billy Joel’s performance on Friday night (July 18 will be the last concert ever to be held at Shea Stadium.
