The shortlist for this year's Mercury Music Prize will be announced this lunchtime, with a number of music's biggest acts set to feature.
UK and Irish bands and solo artists who have released an album over the last 12 months are all eligible for the £20,000 first prize.
Last year, the award was taken home by Klaxons' 'Myths of the Near Future', which fought off competition from Arctic Monkeys and Bat For Lashes.
Acts expected to feature this year include Radiohead, Elbow and Coldplay, all of whom have released hugely successful chart album's over the last year.
Welsh singer Duffy and Leona Lewis could also make the shortlist thanks to their chart topping albums.
