Karen O, lead singer of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, has announced that she will be playing two intimate gigs with her side project called Native Korean Rock.
Talking about the project on the Yeah Yeah Yeahs official site, Karen O states, “Native Korean Rock is a side project of mine comprised of a body of love songs written over the last two years, to be performed with a motley crew of NYC natives. Expect high drama, high stakes in two intimate performances.” She also clarifies that the tracks are not the demos she recorded last year as a solo artist.
The two performances will take place at Union Hall in Brooklyn, New York on July 21.
