Democractic presidential candidate Barack Obama will introduce one of the headlining acts onto stage at this summer's Lollaplooza festival, it's been reported.
Obama is understood to have left a slot open in his schedule in order to make an appearance at the festival, which runs in his hometown of Chicago from August 1st-3rd.
This year's festival will feature headlining performances from Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine and Kanye West.
Obama as often acknowledged the importance of popular music during his bid to become America's first black president.
The former Illinois senator's national campaign headquarters are also less than a mile from the festival site in Grant Park, reports the Daily Swarm.
The Support Of West
Obama's possible participation, which emerged in the Daily Swarm, is supported by West's appearance at the festival.
The US rapper is a fully-fledged supporter of Obama – and has already confirmed his participation at the Democratic National Convention at the end of August.
Obama faces republican John McCain in the US presidential elections this November.
