Nintendo has unveiled a new game for its flagship Wii console that is expected to challenge the dominance of existing music games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
Wii Music allows users to interact with over 50 instruments – including drum kits and saxophones – using their Wii remote control.
The new game was launched yesterday (July 15th), a long with a new, more sensitive Wii MotionPlus remote, at the E3 convention in Los Angeles.
Many of the announcements from the worlds leading games manufacturers at this week's convention have focussed heavily on music.
On Monday it was confirmed that Guns N Roses first new song in over a decade would be made available on the autumn release of Rock Band 2.
The announcement increased speculation that the band's decade-in-the-making album 'Chinese Democracy' would be released before the end of 2008.
