The musical institution that is David Bowie is rumoured to be headlining next year's T in the Park festival.
The 61-year-old was due to headline the Scottish music extravaganza back in 2004 but had to pull out with an apparent shoulder injury. Sadly, The Darkness were drafted in as a replacement.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, T in the Park organiser Geoff Ellis dropped a heavy hint that they want Bowie for 2009, saying: "“It would be nice for him to do the Main Stage as soon as he feels ready. It feels like we've unfinished business."
As reported earlier today, the 40,000 early bird tickets for next year's T in the Park have completely sold out within hours of going on sale.
Despite a stabbing and a death, last weekend's festival was dubbed a success with headline performances from R.E.M, Rage Against The Machine and The Verve. You can see all the action from T in the Park 2008 by clicking here
