Amy Winehouse's mother, Janis, is apparently keen for her daughter to undergo a course of rehab in a house once owned by the late comedian Frankie Howard.
Winehouse's mother is said to have expressed interest after hearing how Chris Bryne, a friend of the former Carry On star, overcame alcoholism in the country surroundings.
Bryne currently lives in the property, which was Howard's home for twenty years, but is reported to beselling it for £800,000.
He is quoted as telling the Sun newspaper that Janis contacted him to see if she could bring Winehouse to the house.
“She seems to think there may be something in the atmosphere of the place that has healing,” he said.
Bryne added that he would turn the house into rehabilitation centre if it failed to sell.
