Apple's second generation version of the iPhone, the iPhone 3G, has already sold out online.
The handset is due to go on sale through retailers on Friday (July 11th) but demand has already exceeded supply, according to network provider O2.
A message on the company's website says people should check back tomorrow (July 10th) for more information on when the handset will become available.
The new iPhone 3G offers download speeds that are twice as fast as the original handset and is under half the price.
According to some reports, Apple, who hope to have sold 10 million mobiles by the end of 2008, are preparing to launch an applications store within the iTunes music store to coincide with the launch.
