Pregnant old men,  gay unicorn sex, floating mechanical testicles, cows excreting human remains, melting faces, adult foetuses and giant laboratory rats.

Incredibly, and for some unbeknown reason, all of these strange images have appeared on album covers by legitimate recording artists down the years.

As part of our album covers' series (where we have already unveiled the best, worst, sexiest and most controversial album artwork), Gigwise is now unveiling the 50 Weirdest Album Covers of all time.

Some of them are bizarre, some are funny, while others are very wrong indeed.
