Pete Doherty Forfeited Festival Fee To Attend Birth Of His Cat

Last weekend...

Pete Doherty cancelled Babyshambles scheduled appearance at the Rock Werchter festival last weekend to attend the birth of one of his cats, it's been claimed.

Babyshambles had been due to perform in Belgium on Saturday (July 5th) and apparently forfeited a £65,000 fee by not playing.

“He’d do anything for his cats no matter what the cost. But he’s mad to let that kind of money go,” a friend told the Sun newspaper.

Babyshambles also cancelled a scheduled date at the Hove festival in Norway last month. No reason for the cancellation was given.

Recent unconfirmed reports have claimed that Doherty has fallen out with guitarist Mik Whitnall.
