Russell T Davies, the executive producer and writer of the hit TV series Dr Who, says Amy Winehouse would be a “brilliant Doctor”.
The future identity of the Doctor on the programme was cast into doubt at the end of the last series when the present Doctor, played by David Tennant, was shot.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Davies said children “will not have a problem” with a female doctor, but their fathers might.
“They will imagine they’ll have to describe sex changes to their kids. I think fathers can describe sex changes to their children and I think they should. It’s part of the world,” he said.
“But it would simply introduce genitalia into family viewing. You’re not talking about actresses or style, you’re talking about genitalia, and a lot of parents would get embarrassed.”

- I think she would be better as a one-episode villain than anything else.
I mean, seriously. I doubt she could stay sober long enough to film a whole series, and she would probably curse at any companion that traveled with her.
Maybe she can be a Cyberman in the Christmas special though.
