Bloc Party have revealed that they will release a new single, entitled 'Mercury', next month.
The band, who are currently recording their third album, made the announcement during a special radio appearance last night.
Frontman Kele Okereke, said the song, which is out on August 11th, was finished “a little while ago”.
“We're really proud of so we thought we'd let everyone hear it. I'm still somewhat in awe," he said.
Okereke went on to add the the group's new album, which could be out by the end of the year, was “the record I always wanted to make”.
