Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has revealed that he likes Jay-Z – despite calling the US rapper’s Glastonbury booking “wrong”.
Speaking to the BBC, Gallagher defended his comment, which was made in the build-up to the festival, and told journalists to stop asking him questions if they don’t want his honest answers.
"For the record, I Iike Jay-Z. That's my opinion. If it offends people, don't ask me anymore questions,” he said.
"I should do these things and answer like every two-bit pop star."
Gallagher went on to blame broadsheet newspapers for the controversy that was created around his Glastonbury remarks, which also attacked the hip-hop genre in general.
"The broadsheets get hold of it and have me going down Hyde Park Corner blasting and slamming,” he said.
