Stereophonics have revealed they may release a new studio album later this year.
Speaking to MTV Italy during the Heineken Jammin’ Festival in Venice, frontman Kelly Jones is quoted as saying: “We’re always in the studio. We’ve finished mixing some new songs last week, and they’re going to come out at the end of the year, and this will be our seventh album.”
The Welsh and Argentinean rockers released their last record ‘Pull The Pin’ in October last year and are gearing up for a string of worldwide festival appearances where they will perform the new songs.
Touring guitarist, and SpiderSimpson frontman, Adam Zindani is also believed to now be a full time member of Stereophonics after Kelly told Xfm that Adam was now in the band and had been helping write new tracks.
The band are set to play at the Rock In Rio Festival in Spain tonight and will play warm-up gigs in Folkestone and Carlisle in the run up to their UK festival appearances next week.
