Rufus Wainwright: 'George W Bush Comes From Spawn Of Satan'

Rufus Wainwright has spoken for the first time about his brief friendship with Barbara Bush Jr – the daughter of President George W. Bush.

In an interview with the Metro newspaper, the singer said he liked Bush Jr because “she's a fag hag.” 

But he was less immediately forthcoming in his praise for the Bush family, saying: “The thing about the Bushes is even though they’re the spawn of Satan they are extremely charming and congenial.”

Wainwright is set to perform a one-off show on Saturday (July 5th) at Kenwood House in London.
