Bjork has been forced to cancel her scheduled performance at Sheffield City Hall tonight (July 2nd) because of “ongoing throat problems.”
A statement on the Icelandic singer's website says she has been advised by her doctors to rest her voice this week.
The cancellation follows Bjork's recent withdrawal from the Wild in the Country festival in Knebworth.
The singer's scheduled appearance at the event, which is due to take place on Saturday (July 5th), was to be her only UK festival appearance of 2008.
Speaking about her withdrawal last week, Bjork called the event “volatile” and accused organisers of failing to provide production equipment. An accusation they have denied.
The statement about tonight's show goes on to say that it is unlikely to be rescheduled. All ticket holders are advised to seek a refund from their point of purchase.
