Duran Duran To Record New James Bond Theme With Mark Ronson?

    It's been claimed...

July 02, 2008 by Jason Gregory

Duran Duran and producer Mark Ronson are considering recording a song for the next James Bond film, it's been reported.

Keyboardist Nick Rhodes has been quoted as saying that the band would “love” to collaborate with the producer on a song for Quantum of Solace.

It would be the second time that the band have written a theme for the film. In 1985 they recorded the title track for the James Bond movie A View To Kill.

Rhodes said that with Ronson, who has previously been linked to the movie via a collaboration with Amy Winehouse, the band “may even surpass A View To A Kill.”

Ronson is due to perform a special concert alongside Duran Duran in Paris tonight (July 2nd).

As well as performing his own set, the producer will also join the band for remixed versions of their own songs.

    • Well..Duran Duran had the last Bond that was a radio hit so I guess it can’t be that bad. I would have like to hear Amy Winehouse give it a shot but...welll...you know...

    • Too bad. It looks as if Alicia Keys will be doing it - at least that is the most credible rumor at the moment. I was actually hoping it would be Duran Duran.
