Mark Ronson: 'Neither Jay-Z Or P Diddy Discovered Me'

Mark Ronson has responded to the row between US rappers P Diddy and Jay-Z over which one of them discovered the producer.

Jay-Z was recently quoted as saying that neither him or P Diddy could agree over who had discovered the Brit-born Ronson, who grew up in New York.

Speaking to the BBC, Ronson said he was “flattered” but revealed that “neither of them discovered me.”

"They used to come to all the nightclubs in New York where I would play when I was starting off as a hip-hop DJ,” he said.

"They definitely took me under their wing at points. No, my mum discovered me."

Both Ronson and Jay-Z performed at last weekend's Glastonbury Festival in Somerset. You can see pictures from their sets below.
