John Mayer covered songs by Duffy, George Harrison and Cream this evening as he took to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.
The singer, who is currently dating Jenifer Aniston, announced that he had "fallen in love" with European festivals after recieving a warm welcome from the sun-soaked crowd.
Duffy's number one hit 'Mercy', George Harrison's 'My Sweet Lord' and Cream's 'Crossroads', were all performed and altered enough to make them breathe a new lease of life.
Mayer's polite gentleman-like manner was juxtaposed with strident charismatic guitar playing that would make any air guitar enthusiast jealous.
The faultless playing was amplified by a collection of charming songs including 'Waiting On The World To Change', 'Belief' and the extended solo climax of last track 'Gravity'.
