The Pigeon Detectives believe their live shows are perfection, they told Gigwise before taking to the Other Stage this evening.
The Yorkshire band’s singer Matt Bowman said: “We haven’t got any surprises lined up. I’m a bit worried it’s the Glastonbury thing.
“But I think we’re the perfect live band, it comes across at festivals as well as it does in little pub venues.”
He was clearly excited about the prospect of playing in front of such a huge audience. “This is the highlight of our career so far, it’s like Wembley for a footballer,” he added.
“The only way we could top it is if we headline next year, but never say never.”
A Glastonbury veteran, Bowman thinks 2008 has been a vintage year as opposed to the apparent war-zone that was 2007. “It’s miles better this time. Last year was like Vietnam, I should know I was there.”
Gigwise will keep you posted with all the Glastonbury news throughout the day.
