Jack White joined The Last Shadow Puppets for a special Park Stage cameo last night.
The White Stripes man joined Alex Turner and Miles Kane for a set-closing cover of Billy Fury’s ‘Wondrous Place’.
Earlier, White had performed with The Raconteurs on the Pyramid Stage, but here he simply wandered onstage, played a solo and swiftly departed.
The Last Shadow Puppets’ set was short and acoustic, with much of their debut album’s richness lost in the sparseness of the setup.
However, White’s appearance, as well as Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders’ guest slot on ‘The Age Of The Understatement’, were undoubted highlights.
