Kings Of Leon proved they could cut it with the best as festival headliners during a breathtaking set on the Pyramid stage last night.
Frontman Caleb Followhill and Co were visibly taken aback by the experience with the frontman declaring “this is one of the best nights of my life.”
Their faultless playing and strident tracks echoed deep into the Glastonbury fields as the crowd responded brilliantly to the excellent set.
Followhill also said that the BBC had asked them not to play any new songs during their slot, to which the singer disregarded before playing a somewhat mediocre new track.
There were no other new tracks played from their forthcoming album ‘Only By The Night’.
Highlights including the hits “Molly’s Chambers”, “Four Kicks” and the encore performance of “Charmer.”
Tonight it is the turn of Jay-Z, and now he has even harder work to do after the blistering set of last night.
