Jay-Z To Mock Noel Gallagher During Glastonbury Performance

US rapper Jay-Z will open his headline slot at the Glastonbury Festival later with a recorded message from Noel Gallagher, it’s been reported.

The rapper will broadcast the Oasis guitarist’s controversial statement in which he said that it was “wrong” for hip-hop music to feature at the festival.

Gallagher, who made the comment earlier this year, was one of a number of artists to speak out about Jay-Z’s booking.

In a bid to avenge the guitarist, the Sun reports that Jay-Z has secured the rights to the interview and will broadcast it when he takes to the stage.

Jay-Z's booking has also been blamed on the festival failing to sell out for the first time in ten years. He has revoked the criticism, however, calling it "ridiculous".

On hearing the rapper’s plans for tonight's show, Gallagher said: “Blaring Out? I fucking doubt it very much.

“There aren’t enough speakers. Well, I guess it will make the first five minutes interesting.”

I can’t wait for JayZ at Glasto - wish I was there - although I’’m seeing him at Project Revolution tomorrow so all is good. Noel Gallagher doesn’’t have a clue anymore does he?

Jay Z sucks. He doesn’t have any songs that are household names, and nobody will remember his music 20 years from now.

Playing Wonderwall completely backfired on Jay-Z. He tried to say something less than a minute into the song, but the crowd ignored him and kept on singing the song. haha. He had to wait for the entire chorus to die down, and then frantically waved his arms to stop the song before the second verse started. haha. Everyone will claim he got back at noel just by simply playing the song, but the song outshined his whole performance, thanks to the crowd participation. Jay-Z: 0 Noel Gallagher:
