Gary Glitter 'To Relaunch Music Career After Prison Release'

    It's been claimed...

June 24, 2008 by Jason Gregory

Gary Glitter is planning to relaunch his music career with a new studio album following his release from prison in August, it's been reported.

Glitter, 64, was sentenced to three years in jail in 2006 after he was convicted of molesting two  girls. His sentence was recently cut by two months because of good behaviour.

In an interview with a Vietnamese state-run newspaper, Glitter is quoted as saying that he has an “incomplete album” that he wants to finish,

“I have been thinking about the plan during my days in jail,” he said.

Glitter also apparently claimed in the interview that he had been suffering from hearing problems in jail.

He is also said to be considering a move to Singapore or Hong Kong upon his release.

    • Whilst I hate what the man has done, to be honest I thought his music was great! I think other musicians have done things which are disturbing but we still buy their music (Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee, John Entwistle, and (potentially) Michael Jackson). If he donated the profits off a future album to a children’s charity, wouldn’’t that be a good thing?
