Festivalgoers heading to this year's Glastonbury festival can expect one of the driest editions of the event in recent years, Gigwise has learned.
Although some showers have been forecast for the festival, which begins on Friday (June 27th), “these should not be too heavy of last for long”, a Met Office spokesperson told Gigwise.
In contrast to recent years, which have seen Worthy Farm in Somerset battered by rain, temperatures are expected to peak at 20 degrees over the course of the weekend.
“It will be quite breezy though with some gusty winds,” the spokesperson warned.
Kings of Leon will headline the opening day of this year's event, with the other headlining performances coming from US rapper Jay-Z and The Verve.
Stay tuned to Gigwise for all the latest information from this year's festival.
