Simple Plan Reveal Heartbreak Behind New Single

Simple Plan’s Chuck Corneau had confided to Gigwise that Simple Plan’s latest single, ‘Your Love is a Lie’ is about his relationship break up and more specifically about Corneau's cheating ex-girlfriend.

Speaking to Gigwise at the Download Festival, the drummer said: “It’s a song about falling in love with someone and being surprised and very disappointed that they’d do something like that to you when you give them your heart.

“I think a lot of people feel very betrayed. We wrote a song and it feels good to write about it because at the time that’s all I could think about.

"During the moment we were writing the song, it was happening. I’m okay now. Writing the song helps.”

After voicing his appreciation for Megan Fox in a recent interview with Gigwise, we asked Corneau if he was having any luck finding love.

“I’ve been actively looking and scouting- but nothing yet. But we’re going to keep looking. You never know," he said.

"Megan Fox is a true force of nature. She’s a remarkable talent. We don’t get lots of arse in Simple Plan so we have to look at magazines!”
