French Fans 'Snub' Radiohead's Eco-Friendly Gig Rules

Radiohead were greeted by empty seats at a recent gig in France after fans chose to ignore the band's eco-friendly concert policies, it's been reported.

The group made 50 front row tickets available for the sold-out concert at The Bercy on a first come, first-served basis.

But in order to collect the tickets, fans were apparently asked to cycle to Paris office of Radiohead's record label, XL.

According to a report in the Sun, 35 tickets were left unclaimed for the concert, which formed part of the group's current European tour.

“Unfortunately the French didn’t appear to share their noble intentions and roundly ignored the free ticket tactic,” a source told the Sun newspaper.

In order to reduce the carbon footprint of their tour, Radiohead have been issuing fans with travel guidelines that encourage people with tickets to use public transport.
