Kaiser Chiefs closed the first day of the Isle of Wight festival yesterday (June 13th) with a set that mixed songs old and new.
As previously reported, the band were forced to use borrowed equipment for the show after their tour crew were caught up in fuel protests in Spain.
This didn’t stop the band from wowing the festival crowds, however, as they opened with a storming rendition of ‘Everything Is Average Nowadays’.
In addition to old songs, including 'Oh My God' and 'I Predict A Riot', the band also treated the crowd to two songs from their as-yet-untitled third album.
The band are currently working on the record with Mark Ronson.
The Isle of Wight festival continues today with a scheduled headlining performance from Sex Pistols.
