Duran Duran bassist John Taylor has accused Madonna of copying their ideas by installing Justin Timberlake and Timbaland as producers on her new album, 'Hard Candy'.
It's the same partnership that worked on Duran Duran's 2007 album 'Red Carpet Massacre', which entered the UK charts at number 44.
Taylor said that he wasn't surprised to see Madonna employ both artists but claimed it was their idea.
“It wouldn’t be the first time Madonna’s copied us. She’s been doing it for years,” he told the Daily Star.
Taylor also revealed that Arctic Monkeys bassist Matt Helders has remixed their new song 'Skin Divers', which is out soon.
“I spoke to him and he really wanted to play drums on our track so that’s what he’s done. He’s a nice lad, knows his stuff,” Taylor said

- Hmmmm or is the issue more one of sour grapes?
- What a freakin LIAR! How can Madonna have been copying these former pop Gods if they are just that...former. While AWESOME in the 80’s and a bit in the 90’’s, Duran Duran has been out of the limelight for many more years!!!! Get over it already. You can’’t stop her....don’’t even try it!!!!

- Duran duran are not just an eighties band they did many excellent albums in the 90s and recently but they ve just been despised by critics for no reason!!!! it is actually possible the madonna has copied duran duran ideas above all i find that the certain songs of her album are very similar to the ones of Red Carpet Massacre...
- There’s no issue: Duran Duran have been working with Timbaland and Timberlake months before Madonna thought about them, but at least they never pretended it was an exclusive idea. Hard Candy is okay, but RCM is better. Durans PLAYED, wrote and co-produced their album, and they are still really rocking the stage much hotter than the overpraised skirt. Limelight doesn’’t mean quality, or it was just me thinking that Mrs. Ciccone is too old to do such slow and embarass
