Barack Obama's triumph over his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton and his battle to be President of the United States is one of the news events of the year.
Where Obama is unrivalled, especially when compared to any other politician, is the amount of support he has received from the music and celebrity world.
On the music side of things, Jay-Z, P Diddy, Pete Wentz, Q-Tip, Bruce Springsteen, Morrissey, Arcade Fire, Moby and many more have all queued up to endorse to the 46-year-old.
Some have campaigned for Obama, others have held live concert fundraisers, while a few have even written songs about him.
Gigwise has rounded up 40 of his staunchest supporters in music, simply CLICK HERE to see them in full.
